Building Construction
Site Prep Solutions for the Contractor
Learn how you can get mega productivity from your utility machines typically used for site prep on commercial, industrial and residential construction projects. Experience an in-depth look at laser referenced finished grade machine solutions for utility to mid-sized machines as well as depth display systems for mini to mid-sized excavators and backhoe's. This track includes a combination of presentations as well as live-machine demonstrations that showcase how site prep contractors use this technology to position their organizations for success through improved productivity and accuracy as well as reduce downtime, material usage and fuel costs.
Concrete Layout on the Building Construction Site
Gain an understanding of the portfolio of construction positioning solutions specifically designed to meet the needs of general and concrete contractors. This Track will demonstrate how leveraging this powerful technology allows contractors to take control of their commercial, industrial and residential construction projects. Aimed at contractors involved in the layout of foundations, the Track demonstrates how you can take digital design data into the field to improve the accuracy and productivity of your layout—no matter how complex the design. It will include a combination of presentations as well as hands-on experience with Trimble solutions for the general contractor involved in the layout of foundations.
Leveraging Building Information Models
With the advent of the Building Information Model (BIM), the building construction process is undergoing significant change—more complex designs, higher accuracy requirements and tighter construction schedules. This Track explores how you can leverage BIM to increase productivity, simplify the layout of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and ensure you are meeting accuracy tolerances. The Track will cover office software solutions that work with BIMs as well as provide a review of 3D scanning technology, construction total stations and field software for layout on the job site. It will include a combination of presentations and interactive feedback sessions from Trimble subject matter experts as well as from Trimble partners VICO and Tekla.
Field Information Systems for Building and Construction
Taking advantage of today's jobsite technologies can be a bit daunting. And many of these solutions require you to deviate from your core workflow--while masking the true return on investment. This Track covers two technologies that pay big dividends without the steep technical hurdles common with adopting a new technology. With the Trimble Digital Pen Solution (DPS), you can streamline your paper-based jobsite processes without having to abandon your established workflows. Learn how to harness this new technology while gaining valuable insight into a set of best practices that you can apply within your own environment.
In step with the Trimble DPS, the Trimble AllTrak tool and equipment management system allows you to easily manage your jobsite asset inventory—helping mitigate theft, create accountability, and enable you to make informed decisions about tool acquisition and maintenance needs.
