Design data is fundamental to a heavy and highway / earthmoving construction project. With the adoption of positioning technology data preparation, management and tracking for the construction jobsite lifecycle is critical. This track explores both the challenges that data can present on construction projects and provides application-focused training for construction professionals responsible for design data. The track will also look at how Trimble® Connected Site™ solutions connect the office and field crews and machine operators. It will include advanced training on Trimble construction office software solutions along with presentations from leading experts.
Site Positioning Systems for Contractors involved in Heavy and Highway Projects
Trimble® Site Positioning Systems provide the heavy and highway contractor with the ability to track, report, validate and control workflows from receipt of initial designs to project completion. This track is aimed at the foreman, supervisor, grade checker, site engineer, and site inspector. It provides an in-depth look at how site positioning technology can improve control validation, measurement, stakeout, quality control and progress monitoring throughout the lifecycle of the construction project. The track will also cover how Trimble Connected Site™ solutions improve the workflow between the office and field. It will include a combination of presentations and interactive feedback sessions that demonstrate how to reduce downtime and resolve issues on site as they arise-without office assistance.

Aimed at the go-to in-house professional responsible for implementation of this leading technology, this track explores the integration of data management and machine operations throughout the construction life cycle. The track will also look at how Trimble® Connected Site™ solutions create an intelligent "live" link between the office and heavy equipment. Learn how you can significantly increase productivity, stream line operations and reduce costs. It will include a range of highly informative presentations for learning and sharing information with your industry peers.

Sessions will cover topics including an overview of available technologies, how to overcome the operational challenges of adopting positioning technologies, how to structure your organization, how to think about return on investment, and more.

This track is aimed at maximizing the return on your existing Trimble equipment and discovering how you can turn your initial investment into higher profitability in the down economy. The track will include sessions from existing Trimble customers who did just that.

Construction today is challenged with coordinating equipment on multiple jobsites. Knowing where your assets are and what they are doing is the key to efficiency. Trimble construction asset management solutions can help you proficiently manage your entire fleet of machine, mobile and portable assets. Examples include automatically recording hours of use for project billing, understanding machine health for preventative maintenance, tracking fuel consumption for cost savings, monitoring after-hours activity and location for theft recovery and quantifying asset utilization for better decision making when estimating future projects.
Ask the Expert - Construction Data
Designed for current users of Trimble construction office software, these sessions provide a formal opportunity to meet with a Trimble expert, ask questions that you have, review data sets that are causing you problems or see a demonstration on how to do something that you have never worked out for yourself. Sessions will be held in the Construction Theater in the main Trimble Booth, and are limited to 15, so be sure to sign up with the eScheduler.
Hands on with Heavy Highway Solutions
Providing a mix of application-based content, these sessions are your opportunity to get hands-on with the Trimble® site positioning and machine control solutions for the heavy and highway contractor. This track will take an in-depth look at Grade, Compaction and Paving Control Systems for a wide range of construction applications such as road construction and small site management. This is also an opportunity to learn about high accuracy solutions for grade checking, site measurements and volumes as well as location based solutions designed specifically for the supervisor.
